This project came about from my experiences as a New Yorker in Croatia. Monday, August 5, 2010, was my first full day in the country; I found that most places were closed due to Victory Day. When you're used to everything being open, getting the things I needed (mainly a SIM card) was a little tricky.
So out of my innate curiosity, I decided to explore the holidays around the world. The holidays are categorized according to nationalism, religious, and cultural traditions.
