Taken in 2017, I knew of the existence of Roosevelt Island, but I wasn't sure what was here and what I would discover. For a photojournalism assignment, I decided to take an adventure here to figure out what day-to-day life is like—a secluded suburban neighborhood with easy access to Manhattan.
